Freedom's Price
As
you soak up May's warm sunshine
And mix sweetened tea with ice
I hope you will give one small thanks
For your freedom and it's price

Memorial
Day's a tribute
To your countrymen who died
And to all those who answered "yes"
When the time came to decide
It
isn't about politics
Or wars we fought and won
Give thought to this, and you will see
Someone's daughter, someone's son

America,
you're beautiful
We love you shore to shore
The spirit of freedom you represent
Will shine forevermore

So,
as you plan that barbeque
gathering family, friends, and such
Remember those we must not forget
Who paid for freedom's cost

longing after something lost,
The spirit's longing cry,
The striving after better hopes--
These things can never die"
